Amazon Tax Suit against the State of New York

Rather than repeat what has been well published we will provide a few links here where you can read the details of the suit and replies as they come to pass.

While the focus here seems to be the specific law and resulting suit involving Amazon.com and New York, the implications are much broader. Other states are watching. If New York is successful in driving a loop hole into the Supreme Court decision, more states will adopt their laws.  Other states may lower the threshold for requiring payments

Once the dam breaks the flood could overwhelm ecommerce operations with a sea of reporting and collection obligations they cannot meet.
